The Folate Connection

Folic acid is a synthetic version of vitamin B9 found in many processed foods and cheap supplements. If your MTHFR gene is slow, this synthetic acid can clog up your system because your body can't break it down.

Choosing the Right B-Vitamins

If you suspect you have this common gene change (or have had a DNA test showing it):

  • Avoid Folic Acid: Read labels on foods and vitamins.
